School visits, performances, book signings, lectures, presentations and workshops.

As an artist, I am passionate about the importance of music and art in education. Classically trained as a singer and actor, I received my musical and theater training at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.  These conservatory skills are a vital part of my school visits, lectures, interactive performances and work as program coordinator in a library.  When a child makes a drawing they are already using very complicated math skills by considering proportions and perspective.  When a child learns a new song, dance or rhyme, they learn the complicated skills of rhythm, sequence, melody and timing all before they can count to ten.  These experiences enhance academic skills and encourage learning at all levels.

Connecting words, music and visual art. This is what I do during my visits. Art and music are closely related to math and essential in creating a healthy learning experience.
